The Start of 2017

Now for all you loyal followers and friends who have been reading since last year, I wrote a VERY ambitious blog post about what I wanted to do accomplish in the year 2016. This post was published for the new year and like everyone else, I tried my hardest to accomplish these goals and resolutions but soon fell out of them.

In terms of being healthier, I tried my best. That’s all we can say about that. When getting fitter, I joined my school’s cross country team. I was injured and couldn’t actually run for the season, but the months leading up with training kept me in shape and taught me to eat well. My procrastination skills remained generally the same and my room was neater but my desk really wasn’t. And in terms of dressing better, I totally started wearing more skirts and dresses, and it actually felt pretty nice. My other two goals were mostly a flop, but in terms of this blog, I posted more than last year and I’m either close to or I’ve reached a 1000 readers in 2016.

This year I’ve decided to chill and only go with three main goals/resolutions so I can’t really flop on. Hopefully I’ll accomplish them!

  1. Drink more water: Water is amazing for your hair and skin and your body in general. To motivate me, I downloaded this app called My Water. It calculates your weight and how much you work out to determine how much you should drink per day. It’s pretty much free and it gives you little reminders throughout the day. Getting that little congrats at the end of the day. helps motivate me. It’s the little things. (Plus look at my festive wallpaper)
  2. Journal more:

In terms of running, something that we always do is write down how we felt that day while running as well as how much/long we ran. For Christmas, one of my good friends got me this empty journal, and I’m going to put it to good use. Journaling about good things that happen to me every day in 2017 will help me focus on the positive as well as give me something to blog about and read at the end of 2017.

  3. Focus on my art: 20161231_14062220161231_14082920161231_14081820161231_140747

Doing anything artistic helps me relieve stress. This year, I’m going to try to find more time to do what I love and hopefully, it’ll help me spend less time in front of a screen!

Happy New Year!! Thanks for helping me reach 1000 readers!! I couldn’t have done it without all your support! What are your New Year’s resolutions? You can and will accomplish them! Feel free to check out the rest of my blogmas in December where I posted one post a week throughout the month. Christmas cards, traditions, and festive pancakes!

Have an awesome 2017 and see you then!! 🙂
