Fall is finally here! It’s time to pull out your cute sweaters and scarves and drown in everything pumpkin spice flavored.
As someone who lives where it NEVER gets cold, I enjoy the slight breeze we get for fall. And with this slight breeze, my weak self needs something to warm me up in the morning to get me started on my day. One of my more recent favorite breakfasts is oats because it’s good for you as it contains fiber and lowers cholesterol. But besides that, I love oats because they’re simple and I can add different toppings to change it up.
So here are my favorite four ways to eat oats in the morning!
1.Blueberries and Honey

If I’m having a sweet tooth that morning, I’ll pair my oats with some fresh blueberries and a little drizzle of honey. It’s that simple! Yum!
2. Oats on the Go!

I love oats but some mornings I wake up really REALLY early and my stomach isn’t quite awake yet but I know I’ll be hungry later! Luckily, I have a couple washed gelato containers that I can reuse to keep my oats in! I paired these oats with some almond butter and fresh blacberries and strawberries. The nuttiness of the almond butter with the sweetness of the strawberries is perfect! Plus it just melts right into the oats! Delicious!
3. Peanut Butter Oats and Strawberries

One of my favorite snacks is strawberries and peanut butter (don’t knock it til you try it!) so I LOVE to incorporate it into my oats. While my oats are cooling a bit so I can actually eat them without burning my mouth, I like to fold in a bit of peanut butter to make my oats just that much creamier. Then I top it with some fresh strawberries and tada! I’m getting hungry right now just thinking about it!
4. Oats in a Jar!

As someone who LOVES nut butters, I shed a small tear whenever I finish a jar. And if those tiny remnants of whatever nut butter you’re eating are left in the jar but you can’t QUITE reach them, this type of oats is just for you!
I also have an addiction to apples and peanut butter as you can see here so these oatmeal toppings were PERFECT for me! While the oats are still warm, spoon them into jar of nut butter. They will melt the nut butter stuck to the sides of your jar and make your oats creamier! Cut up a green or red apple and toss the pieces on top into whatever aesthetic design suits your fancy. Plus you can just screw on the top and take these oats on the go too if needed! Sooooo gooooood!
And that’s it! Four easy ways to add flavor to your oats! As you can see, I’m finally getting into a healthier lifestyle (you can read about it here) and oats are a big part of my breakfasts!
I know they’re not too much into the aesthetic so feel free to arrange the fruit into anyway that you see fit and tag me in your pictures on Instagram! (@Kasualkook)
Enjoy!! 🙂
