new music friday vol. 18

Happy friday! And Happy New Year! Time to wake up early, drink some coffee and get started on those new year’s resolutions (unless you’re resolving to give up coffee/caffeine)! And what a better way to start your morning than with the best songs from this week’s new music releases? This week’s playlist doesn’t include much commentary because I’m enjoying the last couple of days of my winter break, but it DOES include a whole new section of country music (yeehaw) so feel free to check those songs out if you’re into that or give them a listen and expand your horizons! They’re pretty good if I do say so myself.

This week we have amazing songs from alllll kinds of genres (feel free to comment and suggest new ones below!). Plus Justin Bieber FINALLY dropped new music? 2020 is magical already. Let’s get into it!

POP N BOPS

Chills: Why Don’t We

So Predictable: Set It Off

The ultimate upbeat song for your running playlist.

This Is Our Time: WILD

Miss You 2: Gabrielle Aplin, Nina Nesbitt

Song so nice it had be released twice! While this is just a newer version of the original song by Gabrielle Aplin, it’s still a masterpiece and worthy of a listen especially if you haven’t heard of the original. Plus it’s in preparation for her new album coming January 17th!

On Somebody: Ava Max

This song is way too catchy for its own good. And the lyrics? Simple but highly relatable.

After waiting for what feels like FOREVER, Justin has finally made his return to the music scene with the first single off of his new album.
